Welcome to Beautybysky

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
Psalm 139:14
I love this Psalm because it not only reflects that we are beautiful because we are made IN the image of God, but that we are also beautiful because we were created BY the creator.

So who am I?
My name is Skylar Foxhall.I live in small town Alabama with my high school sweetheart and our beautiful daughter Blakely, born this past June, 2021.
Some fun facts about me; I love music! I grew up traveling as a southern gospel singer, opening for number our gospel bands and quartets. When I was In my early teens I made a transition into country music, moved to Nashville and signed a songwriting deal with SESAC. I relocated back to Birmingham, Alabama After my Junior year of high school, and that’s when I met a wonderful boy named Andrew, that I am now so blessed as to call my husband.
Introduction
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, right? WRONG! Sometimes it’s just a whole lot easier to throw the lemons in the trash and say to heck with it!
My name is Skylar, and this whole blog is about getting REAL with you. That’s right, getting uncomfortably real. I’m completely exposing myself and my deepest darkest secrets to each of you.
I have not always lived a God filled life. I haven’t always been the “picture perfect Christian,” wife, friend, daughter, or sibling. In fact, there was a time in my life where I was so rebellious I chose to rebel against God completely. I turned my back and said “we’re gonna try this my way.” Yeah, that didn’t work.
My whole life, through every situation I knew deep down God was preparing me for something greater then myself. God has always spoken to me and said that I needed to write my testimony for young girls, women and young adults. When I was 20 years old, I gave in and finally decided to let God take the lead and listen to what he was telling me to do.
My mission through this blog is for you to find a safe place to be real, raw, and honest. To give you the tools to be able to live a joyful, Christ centered life, and to go free of the judgment or the things that could be holding you back in order to find security and relation in Christ Jesus.
You my dear, are destined for greatness.
